1) Saurav was his partner when he scored his 35th ton in Delhi breaking Sunil Gavaskar’s record. He was the one again when Sachin broke Lara’s record.

2) Krishnamachari Srikanth who  was the  captain in Sachin’s debut test match against Pakistan is now the chairman of selectors.

Will there be any player able to break Sachin’s record? Can Ricky Ponting and Rahul Dravid do that? Can Sachin break Lara’s record for highest score in a test innings? Only time can tell us.

With the festival fever around several doesn’t know the main reason of lighting the diyas called the lamps throughout night.

Dhanteras fall on the thirteenth day before the new moon day of the Hindu month Karthikai (Oct/Nov). Dhan means in Hindi as wealth.

A story to enlighten the festival mood:

Yamadeepaan which is the other name for the dhanteras and the lamps are lit to adore the lord Yama .

The story goes about like this: Once there a lived a happily married prince who has a fate of being killed by the bite of snake. On hearing this the princess lights lamps throughout the palace and pour the jewellery at the entrance and in order not to make the prince sleep she sang songs and narrated stories. It was the time for the Lord Yama to take off the life of prince he transforms in to snake and tries to enter the house but due to the glow of lamps and jewels the snake could not enter the house. This is how the lord Yama couldn’t accomplish his task and warded off by blessing the couple.

Hence to ward off the evil spirits and acquire the blessings the lamps are lit. This is the small story well there are many stories related for the festival of lights which all has the significance of bringing in good spirits and happiness throughout.

The makers of law had now crossed their limit in breaking the rules of law. Wondering what it could be?  Well it is the incident which took place at Chennai’s DR. Ambedhkar Law College. There was violence filled everywhere inside the campus. Mob of students with iron rods and stones hit each other due to the communal clashes between the two groups. One set was SC and the other group was Thevar. The gist of the incident is due to the reason that Thevars organized a function for their leader and printed the posters as law college by not mentioning it as Dr. Ambedhkar’s Law College.

This had created confusions between the two groups and the heated arguments started regarding this issue between the two sets. The result was the violence held on Wednesday where the students started to hit each other brutally with iron rods. They were bashed very badly with the result making the students admit in hospitals due to  the reasons of bones being broken.

The saddest part is that police personnel could not control this fight and management could not make any prior efforts by anticipating the upcoming serious issues. What to say about the plight of our future where these people are the guarding angels for law making for they could not mend their own rules in curbing this unjustifiable act of them.

Vijay and best choreographer Prabhu Deva are back again after smash hit Pokkiri. This movie has Nayanthara in the lead. Vijay desperately needs a box office hit to retain his spot in this tinsel town.  This movie has Vadivelu also as the comedian. Vijay and Nayanthara are paired as hero and heroine for the first time.

This movie is said to be inspired by Bollywood hit SOLDIER starring Preity Zinta and Bobby deol. In Hindi the revolves around bobby Deol who in disguise takes revenge on people who killed his father. Though this is story which is on the old terrain, it ran to packed houses due to it’s powerful screenplay and songs.

Can vijay turn it at this time too like Pokkiri?  We have to wait and watch how Prabhu Deva has scripted this one. This will be a Pongal release.

If you adhere to all the above  points you will definitely lose weight.
